South American river dolphins are doing pretty well compared to some river dolphins in Asia. But boat traffic, fishing, and logging are still a threat. Already china’s river dolphins are extinct. But there is hope for other river dolphins..

I read river dolphins are also visually impaired too. Almost to the point of blindness, where they rely on sonar a lot more for navigation. Probably evolution due to river water being murky more often than ocean water.
