ZME Science has a nice article on the 5 tallest mountains from around the world, including pictures and descriptions, check it out. Here are the top five, I find it interesting that they all peak at around the same height..
1. Everest - 8848 meters.
2. K2 - 8,611 meters.
3. Kanchendzonga - 8,586 meters.
4. Lhotse - 8,516 meters.
5. Makalu - 8,485 meters.
